Niepoort 10 Years Old Tawny preserves all the essence of a Port that has aged for a decade in small wooden barrels. The main characteristics of this reddish Port are the complexity of aromas, freshness and a persistent and refined bouquet. On the palate, an explosion of aromas of orange, lemon, notes of caramel and even honey. This Port is the result of the blending of different wines with an average age of 10 years.
It is a blend of different wines from low-yield vineyards with an average age of over 60 years located in the Vinha da Pisca/Vale do Pinhão/Ferrão region of the Douro Valley, considered one of the most promising wine regions in Portugal.
The grapes are harvested manually, the grapes are trodden by foot in Lagares, and it ages
in the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, in small 550-litre wooden vats for 10 years.
The NV 10 Year Old Tawny Port was bottled in 2015 with a long cork. This is a lovely 10 Year Tawny, elegant in the mid-palate, but complex, precise and focused. There’s a bit of a bite on the finish, giving it some length to go with the flavor. The next day it was more about power, with considerable intensity of old-tawny flavor as well, more than I normally see in a 10 Year Old. This is a fine one for the category.

| Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
| Deposit | We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event. |
| Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
| Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
