About The Wine

Fincas de Azabache Sparkling Wine from Bodega Fincas de Azabache presents us with this D.O.Ca Rioja wine created from 100% Tempranillo grape varieties.

Selected  vineyards in the coolest and most suitable areas for the production of quality sparkling wine.

The ripening of the white Tempranillo variety was early, beginning the harvest in the last week of August, when the berries would acquire a low alcohol content and high acidity and taking advantage of a night harvest to preserve the freshness of the fruit.

By the draining method, the flower must is obtained which will ferment at a controlled temperature between 15 and 16ºC for 14 to 16 days, obtaining an extremely aromatic white wine with a beautiful bright greenish color. This base wine is aged with its fine lees for 4 months to promote volume in the mouth.

AGEING ON LEES: For a period of 18 months, the bottles will rest in our underground cellar from the 1950s, in a horizontal position, at constant temperature and humidity to achieve the maximum contact surface between the wine and the lees formed during the second fermentation.

Meet The Winemaker

Fincas de Azabache traces its roots to November 1955, when a group of grape growers in Aldeanueva de Ebro decided to pool their resources and build their own winery. They called it Bodegas San Isidro. Over the decades they grew, installed their first bottling plant in the 1970s, and gradually evolved into one of the region’s most forward-thinking operations.In 2015, Fincas de Azabache was born — the premium arm of the cooperative, now owning 2,600 hectares of organic-certified vineyards at the foot of Mount Yerga. One of their most innovative decisions was planting 80 hectares of Tempranillo Blanco — a white mutation of the classic Rioja red — after microvinifications revealed its exceptional quality. Azabache is cooperative winemaking at its best: collective effort, individual passion, and a genuine commitment to what grows in their own backyard.

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

You warrant that you are over 18 years old.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
