Viña Guerán is much more than a plot of land. It’s the starting point. The place from which, centuries ago, what we know today as Finca Casa Balaguer was founded. And it remains there, surrounding the house and the winery, like a silent guardian of the history and roots of this project.
On this emblematic plot, they work primarily with Monastrell, and a subtle touch of Arcos, an ancient variety that contributes many nuances. The soil here changes everything: in the lower part, loose sands that favor balanced growth and slow ripening; in the upper part, sedimentary metamorphic limestone rocks that provide structure, tension, and freshness.
The result is a red wine with a refined profile, luminous and elegant, that reminds us that strength isn’t always about weight, but about purity and precision.
An elegant and fresh red wine, crafted with sensitivity, not power. This is the most refined Monastrell, born in sandy, well-ventilated soils, where the expression of the terroir prevails over the strength of the variety.
Monastrell: Hand-harvested in small 20 kg crates, followed by rigorous sorting. Fermentation in concrete tanks with 20% whole cluster maceration. Gentle daily punch-downs for 12 to 15 days. After pressing and transferring to used 500 L oak barrels, malolactic fermentation and an additional 12 months of aging take place.
Arcos: Hand-harvested in small 20 kg crates, followed by rigorous sorting. Fermented in 1,000 L oak vats with 50% whole cluster maceration. Maceration for 10 days, followed by gentle pressing and transfer to clay amphorae, where it ages for 10 to 12 months.

| Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
| Deposit | To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event. |
| Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
| Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
