Premium wines and Gourmet Honey! – who knew?
Wine & Honey Tasting
Terroir in the glass & on the spoon
Honey and wine might sound like an unlikely couple… until you taste them together.
In this special tasting, honey expert Lesley Crook will lead you on a delicious journey where vineyards and beehives meet – showing how the same landscape can express itself in grapes and in flowers.
Come swirl, sniff, sip and spoon your way through 5 wines and 5 artisan honeys, and discover pairings you never knew you needed.
What to expect
• Guided by honey expert Lesley Crook – sharing her deep knowledge of bees, nectar and flavour
• 5 carefully chosen wines – from crisp bubbles to rich, indulgent styles
• 5 distinctive honeys – from pale orange blossom to dark, moody mountain honey
• A fun, relaxed guided tasting with stories about vines, hives and terroir
• Simple tips on how to pair honey & wine at home (hello, cheese board upgrade)
• Time to revisit your favourite pairing at the end
No experience needed – just curiosity and a sweet tooth.
On the menu (example flight)
We’ll taste our way through:
1. Orange blossom honey – light, floral
+ Brut Cava – citrus, apple, cleansing bubbles
2. Rosemary honey – herbal, very Mediterranean
+ Fresh Atlantic white – saline, zesty, green apple
3. Thyme / lavender honey – aromatic and savoury
+ Aromatic white or light orange wine – flowers, spice, texture
4. Mountain / forest honey – darker, woody, richer
+ Medium-bodied red – red fruit, gentle tannins
5. Chestnut or heather honey – intense, bittersweet
+ Sweet or oxidative wine – caramel, nuts, dried fruit
(Exact wines and honeys may vary depending on availability – Lesley will always choose something special.)
How it works
• We taste each honey on its own, then the wine on its own, then the two together.
• Lesley will help you notice how sweetness, acidity and texture change with each pairing.
• There are no wrong answers – we want you to say what you taste.
• At the end, you can go back to your favourite match and enjoy another taste.

• Wine lovers curious about terroir, flavour and pairing
• Honey fans who want to learn from an expert
