The Wines of Isabel Salgado: A Galician Vertical 🌿

FROM RÍAS BAIXAS TO VALDEORRAS — THE FULL ISABEL SALGADO STORY
She debuted her Albariños to a room full of stunned wine lovers. She returned to premiere Abalón — her extraordinary Godello — to a sold-out crowd who still talk about it. Now Isabel Salgado is back for a third time at Martha’s Vineyard, and this time we’re doing it properly: a full vertical through her entire Galician range.
From the salt-kissed vineyards of Rías Baixas to the ancient granite hills of Valdeorras, this is the complete picture of what one extraordinary winemaker can do with one extraordinary region.
🍾 THE LINEUP 🍾
🥂 Fillaboa — Albariño, Rías Baixas
The wine that put Isabel on the international map. Classic Rías Baixas in every sense — bright citrus, white blossom, that unmistakable coastal mineral edge. This is the foundation of her story, and it still deserves every bit of the reputation it carries.
🥂 Fillaboa Monte Alto — Single-Parcel Albariño, Rías Baixas
Same estate, one step further. Monte Alto comes from a single hillside parcel where the granite runs deep and the yields are tiny. More texture, more concentration, a finish that keeps going. Back-to-back with the standard Fillaboa, it tells you exactly what terroir really means.
🥂 Siah — Treixadura, Ribeiro
Isabel’s Ribeiro project — and one of the most interesting things happening in Galicia right now. Treixadura gives you something the Albariños can’t: rounder, more stone-fruit-forward, with a creaminess that’s made for food. Moving inland with Siah feels like discovering Galicia all over again.
🥂 Abalón — 100% Godello, Valdeorras (Ourense)
It premiered in this very room last year, and it’s been quietly building a reputation ever since. Named after the abalone fossil Isabel found in her vineyard — proof the land was once an ancient seabed — Abalón brings a saline mineral edge and stony depth that’s completely unlike anything else in her range. Elegant, structured, genuinely unforgettable. And yes, you can say you had it again before everyone else caught on.

Martha’s Vineyard Moraira — wine, without the snobbery.
