Join Martha for a guided tour of the best local winery – Pepe Mendoza in Jalon/Xalo . You will enjoy the history, the vineyards and the secret of Pepe’s wines paired with tapas.  Pepe and his winemaker, Christian are wonderful storytellers that will guide you through their winemaking process and how they have achieved such wonderful wines in a short time.

This is a private Premium Tasting consisting of tasting 6 wines with the best selection of Spanish cheese and embutido.  Pepe has focused on artisinal wines and as such garnered many awards in Spain and Internationally.  Most wines have been awarded over 90pts on the Parker and Penin scales.

We will meet at Martha’s Vineyard at 1.00 pm on Tuesday 13th September FOR LUNCH AND A GLASS OF WINE and take a private coach to Pepe Mendoza at about 2.30.  The tasting takes about 2-3 hours and we plan to be back at about 6pm. We have room for 20 people so please book your place early to avoid disappointment.

At the winery of Finca de Abargues, we will discover hidden corners where Romans and Arabs have left their mark, we will get to know the winery built in 1900 on an old Riu Rau of Arab origin and we will walk through the Giró and Moscatel de Alejandría vineyards.

These were planted between 1920 and 1970, 12 hectares cultivated organically, strictly rain-fed in dry stone walled terraces. This is a legacy of living cultures that remain part of our cultural history.

Now living in Moraira, she is in a mission to bring wine lovers together with the wine makers of Alicante in a series of fun, entertaining and educational events.

Terms and Conditions

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
