4 Kilos 2019 is a red wine made by the Vinícola 4 Kilos winery with grapes of the native Mallorcan variety, Callet.
A red wine aged for 12 months in barrels, the emblem of the winery from which it takes its name, which shows that a good wine does not depend on a great economic effort but on an ambition for quality and a passion for the product.
Made with grapes from two small estates (Es Puput and Es Quetclá). These vineyards have vines ranging in age from 10 to 45 years old, planted on poor calcareous clay soils with a certain iron content.
After harvesting, the berries and bunches are subjected to an exhaustive selection in the winery. After pressing, the must undergoes its first (alcoholic) fermentation, 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in wooden tanks (depending on the plot from which it was harvested). The malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel tanks and in 225-litre oak barrels at controlled temperatures close to 25ºC.
Finally, the wine is transferred to French Allier oak barrels where it is aged for 12 months.
APPEARANCE: In the visual phase, it has a dark cherry red colour with a high layer and purple rim.
AROMA: The intensity and freshness of the ripe red and black fruits is evident from the first moment. Once left to rest for a few moments in the glass, other more subtle notes of balsamic, sweet spices such as vanilla and certain reminiscences of wood from its ageing begin to emerge.
TASTE: A very tasty red wine, with a silky entrance and a pleasant and intense flavour of ripe fruits in combination with the exact point of acidity (characteristic of the Callet variety). Its finish is long and leaves behind an excellent fruity aftertaste.
PAIRING: 4 kilos is a very good combination with all types of red meat dishes, stews and meat casseroles with sauce.

| Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
| Deposit | We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event. |
| Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
| Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
