Bodegas Santa Cruz de Alpera was founded in 1947 by 25 winegrowers from the village of Alpera, with the aim of defending the viability of their vineyards and winegrowing operations. It was during these years that their winery began its journey in winemaking which leads them to the present day, where their wines are found and consumed in more than 50 countries around the world.
After more than 70 years of experience in winemaking and with modern vineyards and winery facilities adapted to new technologies, they face new challenges and future options that the market presents them with their wines.
The winery offers wines and products with a singular characteristic of unique grape variety: Garnacha Tintorera. They keep the productive control of more than 3000 cultivated hectares, of which more than 1000 hectares are cultivated under the certification of organic vineyard.
This wine has been elaborated with Garnacha Tintorera (100%). After malolactic fermentation, the wine was placed in 300-liter French oak barrels to remain there for a minimum of 4 months.The “Carbonic Maceration” red wines are made from whole grapes previously selected in the field and on which the phenolic maturation controls have been carried out. The bunches remain in maceration at a temperature between 24 and 28 ºC, during seven days producing the intracellular degradation of part of the malic acid. The must is then extracted, reflecting the characteristics of the production process. Finally, the alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature and the malic acid is totally degraded, thus obtaining a very aromatic and smooth wine.

Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
Deposit | We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event. |
Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
