About this wine

Cantorral Blanc de Noir is a white wine made from the star red grape variety  Garnacha Tintorera. This wine has the quality seal of  Almansa Designation of Origin. Visually it is almost transparent, and on the nose white fruit and floral notes are prominent. On the palate it has a great balance of aromas and aromas.

Manual harvesting in selected plots. To make this new Blanc de Noir,  the typical colour of Garnacha Tintorera is removed. A wine made with the personal seal of winemaker, Pedro Sarrión. In a production process in which a more transparent colour through filtration during the process, is achieved. This wine undergoes different stages of fermentation: in stainless steel tanks, concrete and barrels, at a temperature of 15ºC. The almost transparent color is achieved with nanofiltration, retaining the anthocyanin particle (the color).

Garnacha Tintorera is the variety par excellence in the fields and the hallmark of Tintoralba. It is considered autochthonous within the region due to its acclimatization and adaptation to the conditions of the soil, altitude and climate, which has given rise to a unique and differentiated product, very difficult to find anywhere else in the world.

Also known by the name of Alicante Bouschet, Grenache Tintorera originated in France with the crossing of Petit Bouschet and Grenache made by Henri Bouschet in 1855. From there it spread to several areas such as Alentejo in Portugal, California in the USA and several regions in Spain, being in the D.O. Almansa where it has achieved its maximum expression, becoming the majority grape of the region, especially in the highest areas.
