About The Wine

Originating from the emblematic Monte Alto plot, this Albariño white wine is made with grapes from  high altitude vineyards, 150m above sea level. Inland terroir, with an exceptional location in a meander of the Minho, just before the river meets the Atlantic Ocean. The long hours of sunshine that fills the vines with life, gives the grapes a progressive and constant growth and maturation that, together with the age of the vineyard, planted in 1988, make these Albariño grapes perfect for white wines of exceptional character and quality.

To achieve the expression and spirit of the best Albariño wines from the Rías Baixas DO, traditional winemaking is carefully followed. Fillaboa Selección Finca Monte Alto starts with an alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, with 14ºC at the beginning of fermentation and 16ºC at the end. Using a selection of indigenous yeasts and keeping the wine on fine lees for a minimum of 12 months in stainless steel tanks.

Fillaboa Selección Finca Monte Alto is an outstanding wine with numerous awards.
