This Sauvignon Blanc, produced by Casa Rojo, is a white wine from the D.O. Rueda made with the best Sauvignon Blanc grapes and with 13º alcohol. The philosophy of Casa Rojo is “The Understanding of family tradition, viticulture in search of balance, obsessive selection of each grain at its optimal moment, use of native yeasts to highlight the character of the varietal, work with the lees, the expression of the terroir.”
Sauvignon Blanc is a greenish-skinned grape native to the Bordeaux region of France. The grape probably took its name from the French words sauvage (“wild”) and blanc (“white”), due to its early origins in southwestern France. In Castilla León it began to be planted at the dawn of the 80s to be combined with Verdejo, the native and star grape of the D.O. with the purpose of providing aromatic intensity and body.
Today, this grape has already adapted to the Castilian terroir and offers very elegant and fine wines, but at the same time very complex on the nose, with a wonderful and penetrating aromatic range of tropical and citrus notes.
Verdejo is usually harvested earlier and at CASAROJO they produce around 80,000 bottles of this magnificent white a year.
The 2022 vintage has been a great vintage in the D.O. Rueda. The winter was cold and average rainfall, likewise the spring was warm giving way to a warm and dry summer. The grape ripened perfectly, reaching a perfect balance of acidity and probable degree.
100% Sauvignon Blanc. 10 hectare vineyard planted in 1985 by Aníbal Asensio at an altitude of 800 meters in the Duero River basin, between the towns of Valdestillas and Serrada. Production of 6,000 kilos per hectare.
Fermentation at low temperature to maintain all the aromas of the variety. Aging on its fine lees for 5 months. Bottled in May 2023.

| Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
| Deposit | We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event. |
| Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
| Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
