Las Teselas is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but with a La Mancha accent. It’s Finca Élez’s combination of two of the great foreign grapes of the Old World, in its privileged terroir. A marvel of body and volume, yet possessing incredible freshness. A wine created for the purest delight.

Estate wine from the La Vieja plot at Finca Élez, in the town of El Bonillo in Albacete, at an altitude of 1,000 meters. The vineyards have been organically cultivated since 2011.
Soil is sandy clay loam on a limestone base. They date back to the Mesozoic, more than 66 million years old.
The winter of 2021 will be remembered for its intense cold and abundant snowfall. Even in spring, temperatures remained somewhat lower than usual, although rainfall remained at normal levels throughout the cycle. Without major heat waves, mid-October was the time for the harvest, with good-quality grapes.

Pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days at 14°C. Fermentation for 21 days at no more than 25°C, separated into different tanks by plot and variety. Post-fermentation maceration to establish color and aromas, followed by malolactic maceration in a concrete tank.

Varieties are aged separately. A quarter of the Cabernet Sauvignon is aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months, while the rest is aged in concrete tanks for 10 months. A third of the Merlot is aged in 500-liter French oak barrels for 9 months.
