About this wine

NIT DEL FOC BRUT ROSÉ

Nit del Foc means “night of fire” — named for the wild finale of Valencia’s Fallas — and this pink cava has exactly that kind of celebratory spark. It has become one of my favourite little bottles to open whenever there is something worth toasting.

It comes from Marevia, a certified-sustainable, organic producer up in the Tierras Altas de Valencia. This one is 100% Garnacha from their own organic vineyards, made in the traditional cava method and rested on its lees for that fine, creamy bead. Everything about the way they farm is gentle on the land — proper organic, properly certified.

In the glass it is a pale, pretty rose-pink with a fine, persistent stream of bubbles. Violets and rose petals lift out of the glass alongside ripe red berries. The palate is soft and beautifully creamy — fresh and elegant, with a delicate note of rye bread from the lees ageing and a long, balanced finish.

One to keep on the table right through a meal — its creaminess means it never tires the palate. It is especially lovely with cured fish, salt cod, escabeche, and grilled or fried seafood.

Marevia

Marevia is a sustainable, organic cava house in the high country above Valencia, recently awarded the prestigious Sustainable Viticulture certification. They farm their vineyards organically and make their cavas the slow, traditional way — a small, conscientious producer doing things properly, and their pink Nit del Foc is a lovely example of it.

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
