About The Wine

Piedrasassi cultivates grapes and grain in the Central Coast of California. Through the wine, the winemaker  endeavors to tell the stories of this unique region and its people. In the vineyards and fields, the family’s winery and bakery,  approach the work with a reverence for the place and a responsible hand—They  seek to celebrate the innate beauty of each harvest.

Piedrasassi primarily cultivates and vinifies Syrah, a variety with which winemaker Sashi Moorman has worked for over two decades. Today, the viticultural heritage of the Northern Rhone and the pioneering ethos of the Central Coast equally inform his engagement with Syrah.

Majestic and dynamic, the Library Selection Sebastiano Syrah 2017 presents a concentrated nose of violets, lavender, sage, spices, incense and wild blackberries. In the mouth, the concentration of the wine and a gratifying combination of fruit purity and elegant tannins stand out.

Native yeasts naturally present on the grapes are used for fermentation, while only minimal amounts of sulphur are added to allow the fruit to fully express its aromas.

Piedrassasi
Ashy Moorman, a committed and ambitious winemaker, started his own business combining vine-growing and cereal production in the Central Coast region of California back in 2003. He and his team strive to convey all the stories of the region through their wines. Here, the Syrah grape variety has been cultivated for over 20 years with the greatest respect for the land and biodiversity.

Terms and Conditions - Private Events

Terms and Conditions

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
