About The Wine

The Tenute Soletta company was founded in 1996 in Florinas (SS), in north-western Sardinia, by Umberto Soletta who continues a consolidated family tradition.
The vineyards are located in the countryside of Florinas and Codrongianos, in the province of Sassari and extend for 10 hectares, the first of which dates back to 1965. Today it produces typical local wines, keeping alive a family tradition strongly linked to the land and started by his grandfather Samuele in the early 1900s.
The approach to cultivation and wine production is based on the utmost respect for nature and its times. All operations in the vineyard are carried out respecting the ecosystem following the philosophy of its founder: “I treat the land with love and respect and it repays me with excellent fruits”.
Every activity, in the vineyard or in the cellar, is carried out with a “circular economy” perspective to keep the balance and harmony between nature and human intervention as intact as possible. The Greek name from which the Municipality of Codrongianos derives means blue, because in the past the territory was covered with cornflowers.
