About The Wine

TRIGA TINTO 2021

This is one of those bottles I keep recommending to anyone who’ll listen — and once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand why.

Triga comes from Bodegas Volver, a producer I genuinely love for what they do with ancient Monastrell vines high up in the hills of DO Alicante. Some of these vines date back to 1925 — grown the traditional way, bush-trained, every bunch picked entirely by hand. The vineyard sits at 700–750 metres on fossilised limestone soils, which gives the wine a wonderful freshness and tension despite its warmth.

It’s a blend of 85% Monastrell and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for 20 months in French oak — long enough to build real depth and structure without ever losing the fruit.

In the glass it’s dark and inviting. Aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry, liquorice and warm spice. On the palate it’s rich, generous and beautifully balanced, with a long, spicy finish that keeps going. Perfect with a slow-roasted lamb, a good manchego, or honestly just on its own on a cool evening.

Bodegas Volver
Bodegas Volver is the project of Jorge Ordóñez — the Málaga-born wine importer who spent decades introducing the world to Spain’s finest wines. He founded Volver to do what he’d always believed possible: that the ancient Monastrell vineyards of Alicante, farmed by hand at altitude, could produce something truly world-class. Each individual plot is fermented separately to honour the terroir, with malolactic fermentation and ageing all done in French oak. Small-batch, hands-on — and every bottle shows it.

Terms and Conditions

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
