About The Wine

Valverán ice cider is an Asturian ice cider inspired by the Canadian ice ciders made by Llagares Valverán in Sariego, Asturias. This ice cider from Masaveu Bodegas is a pioneering drink and was made for the first time in 2007 after ten years of research, being the first winery in Spain to make an ice cider that has been awarded as best cider, receiving the Great Gold. in the First CINVE International Cider Competition.

Limited Edition: < 20,000 bottles
To make Valverán 20 Manzanas ice cider, native Asturian apples from the orchard located in this winery are used: “Raxao”, “Durona de Tresali”, “Verdialona”, “Collaos” and “Fuentes”.

The production is a slow process that requires time and patience, from when the apples are harvested in the cider to the commercialization of the ice cider, two years pass. The apples are chosen manually, washed and examined on a selection table. Afterwards, they are crushed and pressed, and the must obtained is decanted into stainless steel tanks by applying cold. Once clarified, it is frozen at minus 20 degrees, recreating the effects of frost in the winery and thus concentrating the sugars of the apple naturally. After a slow process of separating the ice and the must, the essence obtained ferments for 10 months at a temperature of 10oC and then remains for 12 months in stainless steel tanks on its lees. Each bottle of this elixir contains the concentrated and fermented must of at least 20 apples.

Origin: Sariego Council (Cider Region, Asturias). Alcoholic Degree: 10.5% vol. approx.
Service Temperature: 7oC.
Potential aging: 3 years.
Glassware: Serve in a “Sauternes” model glass. Allergens: Contains sulfites.

Terms and Conditions

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
