Artadi Viña El Pisón 2020 is a distinguished Spanish red wine crafted by Bodegas y Viñedos Artadi, located in Laguardia, within the Rioja Alavesa region. This wine is renowned for its elegance, complexity, and deep connection to its terroir.
The Viña El Pisón vineyard spans 2.4 hectares and was originally planted in 1945 by Genaro Sanpedro Carrera, the grandfather of Artadi’s current owner and winemaker, Juan Carlos López de Lacalle. Situated at an altitude of 480 meters, the vineyard is nestled in a natural depression shielded by stone formations, providing a unique microclimate. The soil composition is predominantly clay-limestone, which, combined with the region’s climate, yields grapes of exceptional quality and character.

Artadi practices organic viticulture, abstaining from the use of pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers to preserve the vineyard’s natural ecosystem. The 2020 vintage faced challenges due to mildew, resulting in a 25% reduction in grape yield. Despite this, the remaining grapes were meticulously hand-harvested, ensuring only the finest fruit was used.

In the winery, fermentation occurred with indigenous yeasts in open wooden vats over 10-12 days, accompanied by daily punch-downs and occasional pump-overs. Following this, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, where it was aged for 10 months before bottling on May 13, 2021.
Artadi Viña El Pisón 2020 is a complex and enveloping red wine that offers fine aromas of red and black fruits on the nose, accompanied by notes of vanilla and liquorice and balsamic and mineral nuances. On the palate it is deep and silky and expresses itself with a natural elegance. A precise and very expressive red wine with enveloping tannins.

| Group Coordinator. | In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full. |
| Deposit | We may require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid at the event. |
| Changes to Booking | You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 6. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event. |
| Refunds | Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking. Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 4 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event. |
