Chardonnay: the grape everyone thinks they have an opinion about. Too oaky! Too buttery! Too… everywhere! Well, put your prejudices on ice, because this week we’re holding court — and Chardonnay is about to mount its defence.

Four very different Chardonnays go head to head: crisp and mineral, rich and golden, a little flinty, a little flirty — proof that this one grape can be a dozen different wines depending on who’s behind it and where it grew. And just to keep everyone honest, we’re slipping in a gorgeous rosé as the palate-cleansing wildcard.

Your job? Taste, judge, and finally settle it: are you a Chardon-yay… or a Chardon-nay? (We have a sneaking suspicion we’ll convert a few of you.)

Five wines, one verdict, no wrong answers — just don’t say “I don’t like Chardonnay” until you’ve met these five. 😏

CHARDONNAY A JUICIO

Chardonnay: la uva sobre la que todo el mundo cree tener una opinión. ¡Demasiada madera! ¡Demasiada mantequilla! ¡Demasiado… de todo! Pues ve enfriando tus prejuicios, porque esta semana se abre el juicio — y el Chardonnay está a punto de presentar su defensa.

Cuatro Chardonnays muy distintos, cara a cara: fresco y mineral, amplio y dorado, un punto de pedernal, un punto coqueto — la prueba de que una sola uva puede ser mil vinos según quién esté detrás y dónde haya crecido. Y para mantenernos a todos honestos, colamos un rosado precioso como comodín.

¿Tu misión? Catar, juzgar y zanjar el asunto de una vez: ¿eres del sí al Chardonnay… o del no? (Algo nos dice que convertiremos a unos cuantos.)

Cinco vinos, un veredicto, ninguna respuesta equivocada — pero no digas “no me gusta el Chardonnay” hasta haber conocido a estos cinco. 😏

Martha is a retired diplomat for the Colombian government, having years of experience in the organization and creation of cultural events including the famous annual Latin American Festival in Istanbul. Over the last 15 years Martha lived in the Southern California wine area and contributed to the creation of numerous wine experiences, such as chocolate wine pairings for some of the biggest wineries of the area. Now living in Moraira, she is in a mission to bring wine lovers together with the wine makers of Alicante in a series of fun, entertaining and educational events.

By completing this booking you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Consent

You warrant that you are over 18 years old.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
