50 Shades of Rosé

🍷👫 50 Shades of Rosé🍷👫

FIVE WINES. FIVE STYLES. ONE COLOUR — WITH ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.

A little pink. A little provocative. A lot more interesting than you were expecting.

Here is the question we are going to answer: how many different personalities can rosé have?

Five wines, five completely different interpretations of what rosé can be — traditional-method sparkling, Provençal elegance, a Ribera clarete, Pinot Noir with oak, and a Rioja rosé aged on its lees. The same colour in the glass, and almost nothing else in common.

Some will tease with delicate freshness. Some turn up the heat with ripe fruit, spice and body. By the end of the evening you will have a favourite, and there is a good chance it is not the one you walked in expecting.

🌸 THE LINEUP 🌸

🥂 Alta Alella Mirgin Reserva Brut Nature Rosé 2020 — Mataró, D.O. Cava
We start with bubbles. Alta Alella farms organically in the hills just above Barcelona, close enough to the Mediterranean to see it from the vines. Traditional method, long years on the lees, and not one gram of dosage — so it arrives bone dry. Strawberries and cream, with a serious backbone underneath.

🥂 La Sanglière Signature Rosé 2024 — Cinsault & Grenache, AOC Côtes de Provence
The benchmark. Three generations of the same family working ancient Provençal schist on the coast, and the rosé Martha reaches for every single summer. Pale, precise, endlessly drinkable. This is the wine everyone pictures when they hear the word rosé — it is here so we can measure the other four against it.

🥂 Roselito de Antídoto 2025 — Albillo Mayor & Tempranillo, D.O. Ribera del Duero
Strictly speaking, not a rosé at all. This is a clarete — the old Castilian way of fermenting red and white grapes together in the same tank, a style that very nearly disappeared. Antídoto are one of Ribera’s natural-wine stars, and their version is pale, dry, saline and full of character.

🥂 Impromptu Rosé Pinot Noir 2024 — Bodegas Hispano+Suizas, D.O. Utiel-Requena
Pinot Noir, grown in Valencia, made as a rosé — and then given oak. Hispano+Suizas built their reputation on doing the things nobody else in Spain was doing. Red fruit, light and crisp on the front, then a texture and a savoury edge from the barrel that almost no rosé ever gets near.

🥂 Tobelos Rosado 2023 — Tempranillo, D.O.Ca. Rioja
We finish with the fullest of the five. Tempranillo, aged on its lees so it picks up weight, roundness and a creamy texture. This is rosé that behaves like a white Burgundy at the table — and it is the one that tends to convert the committed red drinkers in the room.

WHAT TO EXPECT

🌸 Five rosés in five genuinely different styles
🌸 Perfect bites to pair with the wines
🌸 The stories behind the styles — and why one of them nearly died out
🌸 A relaxed evening with just the right amount of mischief

YOUR HOST

Martha runs the room like a conversation, not a lecture. She wants to know which wines you love and why, she will ask everyone to score their favourites and then happily argue about the results. Join in as much or as little as you like — questions are always encouraged.

Whether you are devoted to rosé already or simply rosé-curious, this is your chance to explore every shade of pink in one very drinkable evening.

Come for the blush. Stay for the chemistry.
