Meet The Winemaker – Vicent Perez of Gil Family Estates Wine Tasting
🍷✨ Meet The Winemaker 🍷🍇 .:
A rare evening with the winemaker & enologist Vicent Perez
This isn’t just a tasting. It’s a guest appearance. We can open great bottles any night — but it’s rare to taste these wines with
the person behind the decisions: the vineyards chosen, the grapes championed, the blends, the oak, the style, the standards.
More than a century has passed since Viñas Familia Gil bottled their first wines. Today the family still cares for old vineyards with
serious patience — and has grown by incorporating small wineries from Spain’s main wine regions, all united by one obsession:
quality and tradition.
Why it’s worth coming (even just to see him)
When the winemaker is in the room, the tasting changes. This is your chance to hear the stories and the “why” behind the wines —
not marketing copy, not second-hand notes. Expect real insight into how the family protects old vines, chooses sites, and keeps standards high
across multiple regions.
You’ll leave knowing what to look for, why these grapes matter, and why these bottles taste the way they do.
If you love Spanish wine, this is one of those nights you’ll talk about afterwards.
The Line-Up (5 wines)
1) Enrrolla-T — Godello
Fresh and mineral with that “wet stone” snap, then a surprising creamy weight through the middle. Think citrus, green apple, a little fennel,
and a clean, salty finish that makes you immediately want another sip.
2) Shaya Habis — Verdejo
Verdejo with polish: bright aromatics (lime zest, pear, white flowers) with a slightly herbal edge. Crisp, focused, and dangerously drinkable —
the kind of white that vanishes from your glass while you’re still talking about it.
3) Juan Gil Rosado
Not a flimsy rosé — this has fruit and backbone. Wild strawberry and watermelon up front, a little citrus lift, and a dry, refreshing finish.
Proper “sunset on the terrace” energy… but with enough structure to handle food.
4) Tridente
Dark-fruited and smooth with a lovely lick of spice. Expect black cherry, plum, and a hint of cocoa, with a ripe, velvety texture.
Big enough to feel generous, balanced enough to keep you coming back.
5) Morca
The grand finale. Deep, intense, and unapologetically plush — ripe berries, violet notes, warming spice, and a long, silky finish.
A “special bottle” wine, and a brilliant way to end the night.
