For one special evening, we’re turning Martha’s Vineyard into a little corner of Colombia. Join us for a creative night with Martha’s sister, acclaimed Colombian watercolour artist Consuelo Ardila, as she guides you step by step in painting your very own wine-bottle masterpiece.
No experience needed. The only thing to bring is your sense of adventure — we’ll take care of the brushes, the inspiration, the dinner and, of course, the wine.
By the end of the evening you’ll leave with a beautifully hand-painted bottle that’s as unique as you are (and probably a few new friends, too). Because life’s too short to drink ordinary wine… and even shorter to leave the bottle plain.
Warning: wine may improve your creativity. Watercolours may improve your wine. Either way, you’re going home with a masterpiece.

Consuelo Ardila is Martha’s sister, and an artist whose career has taken her a long way. She spent years as Art Director for book covers at Editorial Norma, one of Latin America’s leading publishing houses, shaping the look of hundreds of titles, and she has taught art at the University of Bogotá for many years. She has exhibited widely, represented Colombia internationally, and won the Lilly international art competition.
Then she faced cancer herself. As a survivor she spent more than a decade with the Colombian Cancer Association, using art therapy alongside terminal cancer patients — helping people find expression, comfort and hope in the hardest moments of their lives. It is, she would tell you, the work that matters most.
She leads the whole creative session here, step by step. Come sip, laugh, paint outside the lines and create something beautiful.

YOUR HOST
Martha keeps the wine flowing and the room buzzing. She runs the evening like a conversation, not a lecture — she’ll happily talk you through each wine and loves hearing which you prefer and why. No pressure to be an artist or a critic; just good wine, good food and great company. Questions always encouraged.

Consuelo Ardila is a Colombian artist, and Martha's sister.She spent years as Art Director for book covers at Editorial Norma, one of Latin America's leading publishing houses, where she shaped the visual identity of hundreds of titles. She has taught art at the University of Bogotá for many years, held numerous solo and group exhibitions, and represented Colombia in international exhibitions and competitions. Her work has been recognised internationally: she won the Lilly international art competition, the award behind her watercolour "Why Me".After facing cancer herself, Consuelo found a deeper purpose in the work. As a survivor, she spent more than a decade with the Colombian Cancer Association, using art therapy to accompany terminal cancer patients — helping people find expression, comfort and hope in the hardest moments of their lives. She is an accredited art therapy teacher.At Martha's Vineyard she leads the Sip & Paint evenings, guiding guests step by step through painting their own wine bottle. No experience required, and no wrong answers.

Martha is a retired diplomat for the Colombian government, having years of experience in the organization and creation of cultural events including the famous annual Latin American Festival in Istanbul. Over the last 15 years Martha lived in the Southern California wine area and contributed to the creation of numerous wine experiences, such as chocolate wine pairings for some of the biggest wineries of the area. Now living in Moraira, she is in a mission to bring wine lovers together with the wine makers of Alicante in a series of fun, entertaining and educational events.
