Spring Whites Wine Tasting: No Jacket Required
Spring Whites Wine Tasting Event:
No Jacket Required
Albariño • Godello • Verdejo
March is when Spain starts showing off again: longer days, lighter evenings, and that first “ooh, we could sit outside” feeling.
So we’re doing what any sensible person would do…
We’re opening five dangerously drinkable Spanish whites and letting them flirt with your taste buds.
This tasting is a proper little tour of Spain’s best white personalities:
• Albariño from the Atlantic-kissed coast of Rías Baixas (fresh, zippy, slightly smug)
• Godello from the dramatic hills of northwestern Spain (mineral, elegant, secretly powerful)
• Verdejo from sunny Rueda (bright, herby, the life of the party)
• Albariño from the Atlantic-kissed coast of Rías Baixas (fresh, zippy, slightly smug)
• Godello from the dramatic hills of northwestern Spain (mineral, elegant, secretly powerful)
• Verdejo from sunny Rueda (bright, herby, the life of the party)
Three regions.
Three climates.
Three personalities.
One very good idea.

🍾 The Line-Up
1) Mar de Frades Brut
We start with bubbles because… we have manners. Crisp, celebratory, and instantly puts you in holiday brain.

2) Zárate Albariño (Rías Baixas)
The Atlantic in a glass: citrus, saline snap, pure refreshment. If you like Sauvignon Blanc, this might become your new obsession.

3) Abalón Godello
Godello is the “if you know, you know” grape. Stone fruit, clean mineral finish, and sneaky depth. Elegant without being boring.

4) Pandora Verdejo (Rueda)
Bright, aromatic, and ridiculously easy to love: green apple, herbs, and a crisp finish that screams spring evenings on the terrace.

5) Cunqueiro Godello
Second Godello because we’re not here to “sort of” learn things. This one shows the other side: more structure, more texture, more wow.

😈 Why you’ll love it
Because this isn’t “here are some whites, good luck.” This is a tasting with a point:
you’ll actually learn what makes these grapes different… and you’ll leave knowing exactly what to buy next time you want a white that’s got a bit of swagger.
Also: you might come for Albariño and leave with a Godello crush. It happens.

✅ Perfect if you…
• want whites that are fresh but not forgettable
• are ready to say goodbye to winter reds without feeling emotionally betrayed
• like the idea of Spain in a glass without the Ryanair baggage fees
