We’re thrilled to welcome Alejandro from UKAN Winery, who has travelled down from Rioja Alavesa to share the real story behind one of Spain’s most talked-about boutique producers.

Founded by fifth-generation winemaker Koldo Eguren, UKAN represents a bold new chapter in Rioja winemaking — combining old-vine vineyards, sustainable practices, and a modern, precision-driven approach.

These are wines that respect tradition but speak fluently in the language of today — fresh, balanced, and elegant.

✨ The Wines We’ll Be Tasting

🍷 Selva Nevada Blanco
A crisp and expressive white from high-altitude vineyards. Bright citrus and subtle floral notes lead into a clean, mineral finish — a perfect opener.

🍷 Martínez La Cuesta Tempranillo Blanco
A rare white Rioja made entirely from Tempranillo Blanco grapes. Complex and textured, with pear, peach, and a whisper of oak spice.

🍷 LAN D-12
From one of Rioja’s classic names — a silky, fruit-driven Tempranillo aged in French and American oak. Smooth, generous, and beautifully balanced.

🍷 Senderos de UKAN
Vibrant and refined, this wine captures the purity of Rioja Alavesa fruit — red berries, violets, and soft tannins — aged gracefully in French oak. A wine of finesse and depth.

🍷 UKAN
The flagship wine — made from old-vine Tempranillo (some over 70 years old) from select plots in Laguardia and Elciego. Powerful yet elegant, layered with blackberry, plum, spice, and a long mineral finish.

Martha is a retired diplomat for the Colombian government, having years of experience in the organization and creation of cultural events including the famous annual Latin American Festival in Istanbul. Over the last 15 years Martha lived in the Southern California wine area and contributed to the creation of numerous wine experiences, such as chocolate wine pairings for some of the biggest wineries of the area. Now living in Moraira, she is in a mission to bring wine lovers together with the wine makers of Alicante in a series of fun, entertaining and educational events.

You warrant that you are over 18 years old.

Group Coordinator.

In order to book your event we require a single coordinator of your group. As the Group Coordinator you are responsible for all communications with Martha’s Vineyard. You ensure that all group members are at least 18 years old. You will be responsible for the payment of any deposit and final payment at the event. The final payment may be split between members of your group but you take sole responsibility that the final payment is completed in full.

Deposit

To Conform your booking we require a 50% deposit of the total payable amount for your event. The balance must be paid before the event.

Changes to Booking

You may make changes to the number of guests in your party prior to the event provided that you do not fall below the minimum acceptable group count of 10. You must inform Martha’s Vineyard of your requested changes and receive confirmation that the changes are acceptable. Please note: You will not be able to remove guests from your party within 5 days of the event. You may add guests to your event up until 2 days prior to your event.

Refunds

Once you have completed your booking you may request a refund of any deposit if you cancel your booking.
Up to 14 days prior to the Event – 100% refund
Up To 7 days prior to the Event – 50% refund.
Less than 7 days prior to the Event – no refund.

Please note that if you wish to cancel the booking entirely or in part less than 3 days prior to the event you will be required to pay the full price of the event. As group coordinator you are solely responsible to complete this payment on or before the date of the event.
